DOHA: The Airport area will soon have a model family park, as the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning has given the nod for the project. The park will occupy a total area of 4,689sqm and include walkways, open and shaded spots for families, play areas for children and specialised facilities for the disabled, separate bathrooms for men and women and places for security personnel. The facility, to be constructed in district No. 47 (Al Thamama) will have two entrances – one from Al Jolan street and the other from Al Zahraoui street.

Sheikha Al Jufeiry, member of the Central Municipal Council (CMC) who represents the Old Airport area thanked the Minister of Municipality and Urban Planning for his quick response to demands by residents of the area to set up a family park.
