Qtel starts Blackberry Internet Service-Personal

The New BlackBerry Bold (Personal Edition)

DOHA: Qtel has launched the BlackBerry Internet Service-Personal Edition that allows customers to stay connected

all the time.

The BlackBerry Internet Service enables small businesses and individual mobile phone customers in Qatar to enjoy the benefits of the BlackBerry wireless solution, which offers access to a broad range of services, including wireless email, instant messaging, internet, MMS and SMS and other mobile applications.

With launch of the new Personal Edition, Qtel is looking to double the number of BlackBerry subscribers within Qatar.

The BlackBerry Internet Service provides small businesses and individual mobile phone customers to have access to up to ten email accounts supported by POP3 or IMAP4 accounts, including the most popular ISP accounts such as hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo! Mail by using advanced BlackBerry Push email technology. With push email technology, the customer is always connected and emails are received instantly and automatically through a state-of-the-art BlackBerry handset and integral software.

“The BlackBerry Internet Service solution allows our customers to be connected anywhere and anytime with a package of services that offers tremendous value for money. This further illustrates Qtel’s commitment to offering a full range of advanced mobile communications services and applications to our customers,” said Khalid Abdulla Al Mansouri, Executive Director of Business Solutions, Qtel. .
